On Friday, November 30, 2018, the Department of Labor and Industry, Division of Registered Apprenticeship recognized its 2018 Outstanding Apprentice Recipients. The Division also celebrated its 80th Year Anniversary as the State Apprenticeship Agency for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Apprentices who completed their programs in the 2018 Calendar year were eligible to be nominated. Those who were selected by the Awards Committee attended with their personal guests and with their sponsor/employer representatives. Many guests who are partners of the Division of Registered Apprenticeship also attended and joined in the celebratory atmosphere.
Registered Apprenticeship has been the employment training model of choices since its adoption in 1938. This model of training stands the test of time and adapts to industry needs as necessary.
