The years get busier and busier. Sometimes, the pace leaves us wanting an excuse to slow down and bask in the accomplishments.
The administration of the Registered Apprenticeship program in the Commonwealth has been conducted at the Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) since 1938. This 80 year Anniversary is one reason to celebrate.
We have very accomplished, dedicated apprentices who completed their journey in 2018 and with this re-imagined Outstanding Apprentice Award, we would like to extend the celebration. So please stop for a moment or two and contemplate who from your organization you would like to give accolades to as outstanding apprentices.
The world will continue to fly by us at record speeds, but let’s not forget to gather and celebrate the employment training model that has lifted so many employees into that category of Journeyworker. Lives, families, communities all improve when individuals achieve goals.
Help us to recognize apprentices that have become masters and nominate your outstanding apprentice. We will recognize a maximum of 25 Outstanding Apprentices. Please refer to the enclosed Nomination of Outstanding Apprentice form for criteria. You may nominate more than one apprentice. We encourage nominations from all occupations and will strive to have awards reflect occupational diversity
DOLI is blending this Outstanding Apprentice recognition with the National Apprenticeship Week designation by the federal administration (November 12-16, 2018). Thank you for your participation.
