Regulatory Information
The regulations of the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry and its two rule-making entities, the Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board and the Virginia Apprenticeship Council, fall under Title 16, Labor and Employment of the Virginia Administrative Code (VAC). The regulatory code sections for each service area are as follows:

Current regulatory activities of DOLI are available to the public on the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall. The Town Hall website contains each regulation promulgated by the agency and up-to-date information on new or regulations in progress, public comment periods, meeting notices and minutes, guidance documents, and contact information.

The Virginia Register of Regulations is a comprehensive source of regulatory information. The Register is distributed every other week throughout the year. The text of proposed and final regulations, whether amended or newly adopted, is published in the Register. The Register also contains basis, purpose, substance and issues statements and summaries for each proposed regulation, as well as a detailed economic impact analysis. Any change between the proposed regulation and the final effective text is highlighted.
